Initial Design Process
At the start of the project, it is important to create a brief, and concept for the design.
We begin the project with a design consultation to discuss the clients ideas for the project. This allows us to understand the scope of the project and key aspects of the design.
Following the initial consultation we contact the necessary professionals to create the best design, whilst allocating a time frame and budget for the project.
Once the project scope is decided we begin illustrating our design intentions in a variation of methods such as, but not limited to sketches, material boards, floor plans, visual renders and CGI imagery. After communicating the design intentions to the client, we discuss any revisions that need to be made and proceed to the design development.
Design Development Process
The next steps are initial spatial plans, Technical Drawings, a selection of finishes.
During the process of creating the spatial plans it is crucial to experiment with how to incorporate the key aspects of the design.
Design is so much more than the visual context, when developing design ideas our aim is to create a space that impacts all elements of the senses and evokes positive emotions.
In this part of the design process, we will begin to compose the materiality of the design on a larger scale. Deciding on specific materials, textiles, and finishes. Client meetings will be held through-out this process to discuss design choices and make any revisions to the design.
A multitude of technical drawings will be produced to communicate the design intentions. These drawings will cover aspects of the design such as lighting and electrical plans, wall and floor finishes, detailed drawings for bespoke joinery and more.
Design Resolution Process
The complete design, ready for construction.
Throughout this process we are finalising design decisions and all technical drawings will be completed and ready to work from. Scaled furniture plans will be produced to help the client visualise the scale of the space. Accompanying the furniture plans will be material and furniture specifications, with rendered visuals and CGI to communicate the complete design.
Once approved by the client, we will instruct the necessary professionals and begin the construction process. We will manage the project and ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible taking the stress of the clients. Once construction is complete we will decorate and style the property, ready for the client to enjoy the final product.
